Black & White Study

Using black and white gesso on cardboard I created abstract landscapes

Using black and white gesso on cardboard I created abstract landscapes

This week I went to the studio and just felt exhausted.  I couldn’t convince myself to work on any of the many projects I’ve already started.  So I finally gave up and decided to just let myself paint some small black & white images regardless of sales or productivity.  Here’s a look at what I did in that hour and a half.

Painting of Hands

I’ve been working of my fascination with painting hands by creating a series of them for my next show.  Here is a look at the first phase.

I’m particularly inspired by nature. Plants, animals etc.  I particularly love ancient looking plants and seeds.  I’ve been mulling over an idea of creating a clay girl wandering some sort of 3 dimensional Magic Garden landscape.  Here is a look at the work in progress.

Trophy Heads

I’ve been working on a series of heads for a while.  I’m determined to have them for the One of a Kind show in Toronto this year.

Monster Portraits Begin

I’ve been sketching monsters for the past weeks.  I finally sat down to draw them out for my Monster Portrait series.  I’m really happy with the results and I can’t wait to start adding color!

Butterflies in Progress

I can’t quite believe I thought I could do a huge Christmas show with a new born!  I’m madly working away at some new pieces and thanks to family I will make it!  I’m having a fabulous time expanding creatively.  Seems like the more I work on things the more ideas I have.  Exciting!

Old Skool Craft Fair

I’ll be at St-Michel church Saturday June 18th 11-6
